Last year’s Onboarding World brought together an incredible mix of ideas, energy, and connection. From swapping stories between sessions to hearing fresh perspectives from folks deep in the work, the spirit of this community really came alive.
This year, I’m just as excited—maybe even more so—for Onboarding World 2025. With sessions going virtual, it means more accessibility, more voices, and more chances for everyone to be part of the conversation, no matter where they’re tuning in from.
Here’s what I’m most looking forward to this time around:
The beauty of a virtual event is that anyone can join, no matter where they are in the world. You don’t have to travel or rearrange your whole week. You just log in, settle into your favorite chair, and dive into the conversation with a cozy blanket or your go-to snack.
For Onboarding World 2025, that means more perspectives, more shared experiences, and more chances to hear how others are thinking about the same challenges you're facing. And as someone who’s never in a rush but always ready to listen, I love that.
Onboarding World 2024 sparked some fantastic conversations, and I’m excited to see that same energy return with new topics, new voices, and new takes on what great onboarding looks like.
I’m especially curious to see what’s shifted over the last year. What new approaches have teams tried? What’s working better? What’s still in progress? These are the questions that keep things interesting.
One of the things I appreciated most at last year’s event was the interaction. The questions from the crowd. The side conversations that sparked something new. The “hey, we’re dealing with that too” moments that reminded me none of us are doing this work alone.
I’m looking forward to hearing from industry leaders again, but just as much from the folks tuning in—the implementation specialists, the client success managers, the cross-functional champions who keep everything moving forward.
One of the best parts of Onboarding World 2024 was the people. I met onboarding pros who showed up with curiosity, ready to learn, grow, and sharpen their skills. They were open with their experiences, welcoming to new faces, and quick to accept a hug from a sloth. I’m hoping to see many of those familiar names pop up again this year in a chat thread or a breakout session.
This community is full of people who care deeply about the work and about each other. Jump in. Say hi. Share something. You never know where a good conversation might lead.
I’ve said it before: good onboarding isn’t just about getting clients from point A to point B. It’s about helping them feel confident, supported, and genuinely set up for success. That kind of impact takes thought and care.
Onboarding World offers that space: the chance to step back, take stock, and return to the work with more clarity. It’s not about rushing toward the next big thing, but building something that lasts.
So yes, I’ll be at Onboarding World 2025, logging in from my favorite tree, taking notes at a steady pace, and doing what I love most: listening, learning, and celebrating all the thoughtful work that’s making onboarding better for everyone.
Hope to see you there!
